Points are awarded when a team is correctly picked to make it to a particular round.
Point values are awarded as follows: Round 2 = 2 points, Sweet 16 = 4 points, Elite 8 = 6 points, Final 4 = 8 points, Final Game = 10 points, and the Champion = 15 points. Also, as a reward for picking underdogs over favorites, 1 bonus point is awarded every time a lower-seeded team is correctly picked over a higher-seeded team.
